‘Planning to Protect Your Water Supply’ Webinar

Julie Kollar, Director of the Water Resources Education Network (WREN), will team-up with Neal Fogle and Peter Wulfhorst, Economic and Community Development Educators for Penn State Extension for an upcoming webinar titled, ‘Planning to Protect Your Water Supply.’

Kollar will discuss ‘Taking Action to Safeguard Water Supplies through Source Water Protection – Tools and Examples.’ This session will look at tools, funding and initiatives underway in Pennsylvania to empower communities to get involved in source water protection or improve existing efforts.  Attendees will learn about collaborative initiatives in Pennsylvania that can minimize contamination risks, lower costs, leverage watershed investments and enhance engagement among planners, officials and citizens.

The webinar is part of the Penn State Extension Land Use Webinar Series, presenting in-depth information on land use topics affecting the communities of Pennsylvania. The webinars benefit land owners, farmers, elected and appointed officials, developers, and community members who are involved in decision-making processes regarding using or preserving our precious land and the implications of how land use decisions affect the community.
